STORY: The estate, headed by Adolfo Henrique Vieira Ferreira, is located in the southern part of Minas Gerais. It has devoted 130 hectares to the production of coffee, which is picked by hand, which can be quite rare in Brazil. The estate focuses on not only the production of fine coffees, but also the preservation of the surrounding environment.
The Vieira Ferreira family have been producing coffee In the region for over three generations. Their goal is to improve and increase productivity with respect to the environment and the local workforce, which is a major part of the operation. Along with the emphasis on coffee, there is also strong emphasis on social improvement. All of the local workers receive social support, such as schooling for their children, workforce training, and environmental education.
We roast and ship every Monday & Thursday. Orders must be received by 5PM on Sunday and Wednesday to ensure it gets added to our production. Orders placed after 5PM on on Sunday and Wednesday will be roasted and shipped out the next production day.
