STORY: The Sugarcane EA Decaffeination Process removes 97% of all caffeine originally present within green coffee. Ethyl Acetate (EA) is a naturally occuring compound and solvent derived through the fermentation of sugarcane.
El Nevado del Huila is communal lot that is carefully constructed. Every single small lot that is considered, is cupped individually multiple times before being included within the main lot. In addition to cup quality, each coffee must meet strict physical requirements. The producers who contributed to this lot primarily grow Caturra, Colombia, and Castillo, with farms sitting at a range of elevations between 1,600 and 1,900 meters.
El Nevado del Huila is named after the highest volcano in Colombia, sitting at nearly 5,500 meters or 18,000 feet!
We roast and ship every Monday & Thursday. Orders must be received by 5PM on Sunday and Wednesday to ensure it gets added to our production. Orders placed after 5 PM on Sunday and Wednesday will be roasted and shipped out the next production day.
